Short Course
What?
This short course for practitioners provides an introduction to the field of nuclear non-proliferation, including such areas as international non-proliferation regime, nuclear disarmament, nuclear security, regional issues, export controls, and others.
Who?
The course is offered jointly by the Vienna Center for Disarmament and Non-Proliferation (VCDNP) and James Martin Center for Nonproliferation Studies (CNS).
How?
The course consists of two components: a week-long in-class session and a preparatory online section. The in-class lectures will be given by faculty and experts from the VCDNP and CNS, as well as experts and specialists from different international organisations.
When?
The next VCDNP Short Course will commence on 23 September 2024.

Course Topics
This website is the online preparatory section, designed to give you the minimum tools and background information to prepare for the intensive in-class session. Each of the five topics in this section has presentations, required readings, and quizzes. The participants are expected to review all the materials in each topic and take all the quizzes.
